It’s Heinz versus the new guys: French’s Ketchup.
This is no friendly battle for market. You may remember that Heinz was THE ketchup unless someone switched you out. French’s was the mustard — the best buddy along with Heinz Ketchup on your hotdog or burger.
Well, they are friends no more!
We’ve all seen TV commercials where the two old friends find it strange and are now awkward and uncomfortable with each other. Next we see the retaliation from French’s by declaring that all of their tomatoes are grown in Canada.
How do you like those tomatoes (on your face), Mr. Heinz, wherever you are?
