Will Everything Become a Movie Screen? Artists Can Now Animate Art onto Buildings with Digital Projection Maps

How cool is this?

Wouldn’t it be great to fly to Copenhagen just to spend a night or two just watching this cube?

Count me in… I’ve always marveled at how they can do these projections by using architectural building maps to let digital artists create graffiti or grand masterpieces on Museums, Opera Houses, or even the Kings’ Palaces! When the show is over there’s never a drop of paint left behind, the building, object, item is untouched with all images removed. Magic!

Obsura is Digital pioneer and this company promises to impress you with illuminating ideas behind the future projections of some of the most mind bending environmental art ever conceived! One thing about these ‘live’ shows is their spontaneity, they can be crowd pleasers at events or as regular attractions, as what you see above at the Sydney Opera House.

Travis Threlkel, Obscura Founder

Here’s What They Have to Say About Themselves:

Obscura is an allinace of artists and technologists who are pioneering the future of multidimensional sensory experiences. From our beginning, we set convention aside to create entirely new encounters with light, sound and motion. Our team shares a passion for inventing the uninvented, for exploring ways that technology can enable awe-inspiring moments.

Our creativity is inseparable from our ingenuity. We were among the first to develop technologies that deliver unprecedented interactivity. Our exploration has led to multitouch screens, complex architectural mapping, 360º surround projections and beyond.

We’re always exploring how sensory moments can be inseparable form their environments. Architecture and public spaces should have experiential technology written in their genetic code, as a way to animate and inform. That’s how we envision what we do.

Our creative instinct, whether to educate, communicate, entertain or amaze, determines the technology we need. And we make it happen from start to inspirational finish!

WOW!

What this company has done with the mapping of architecture, pool tables,  and their intelligent and/or high-powered digital projection technologies will soon make everything a movie screen!

Honestly, this is not a story to write about… it’s a story for you to see now!
